Here you will find some very useful amateur
radio software. I did receive
written permission to post these files here. Please do not ask me if you can
redistribute them, as only the authors have that permission.
EchoStation 2.1
·
EchoStation, written by K1RFD (the same guy who wrote EchoLink),
is repeater controller software for your PC. All you need to do is hook up two
radios (for a duplex repeater), or just one radio for a simplex repeater,
to your computer and the software does the rest. This software has full CW auto-ID,
phone autopatch (it goes through your modem), and even remote control
capability. If you want to
build a repeater as a project, check this out! It’s free for 30 days, then you need to register for $19. I used a radio control interface
from Buxcomm (see: “Where to get Ham Gear”). The pre-registered version
is fully functional. http://www.synergenics.com/sc/
Radio Works 2.0
·
Radio Works, written by Joe Kowalski, is more useful than
a volt-ohm meter in the shack.
This will calculate just about everything needed for antennas, radio
wave propagation, band classifications, propagation methods, calculate
path loss, and much more!
This software is freeware and I think it’s some of the best
free ham radio software available.
This is a very small file, but so useful. I can guarantee you will find
yourself going to this software for help if you have it installed. http://deserthail.com/
