These are very handy to use as a reference or for field activities (Most of these guides come from the ARRL’s site and all of them require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view):

US Army Treatment of Nuclear and Radiological Casualties (FM 4-02.283)

·        This guide covers pretty much anything your would ever want to know about radiation and other radiological disasters.  It could be useful if you are planning on building a shelter, or for general knowledge in the area.  It’s not too large at 2.09MB, so it shouldn’t take too long to download.  Since it is from the US government, you are free to copy and reproduce it as much as you wish

US Army Tactical Single-Channel Radio Communications Techniques (FM 24-18)

·        This guide is extremely useful; it covers nearly anything you would encounter in a field station set-up.  It even goes over NVIS antennas! Since it is from the US government, you are free to copy and reproduce it as much as you wish.  It is fairly large, 9.92MB, so if you have a slow connection, please give it some time to load

US Marine Corps Field Antenna Handbook (MCRP 6-22D)

·        This guide is extremely useful, and since it is from the US government, you are free to copy and reproduce it as much as you wish.  It is fairly large, 4.12MB, so if you have a slow connection, please give it some time to load

US Army Communications Jamming Handbook  (FM 34-40-7)

·        This guide is not really ham radio, but it does deal with wireless telecommunications, and since it is from the US government, you are free to copy and reproduce it as much as you wish.  It is fairly large, 1.9MB, so if you have a slow connection, please give it some time to load

US Army intelligence and Electronic Warfare Operations (FM 34-1)

·        This guide is not really ham radio, but it does deal with wireless telecommunications, and since it is from the US government, you are free to copy and reproduce it as much as you wish.  It is fairly large, 4.27MB, so if you have a slow connection, please give it some time to load
